About L Diane Johnson
More about this "Jersey Girl" by birth:
Johnson is an in-demand painter for her landscape paintings created on location from the U.S. to Europe. Beginning her career as a classic portraitist, she turned to the landscape to capture the essence, character and purity of whatever she painted. With hundreds of awards and corporate collections behind her, Johnson also has the distinction of being the Founding Editor of Plein Air Magazine. Her forte is painting private gardens and architecture for clients.
She has painted and taught in Monet's garden in Giverny, France many times, and is known as a "painter's painter" to colleague artists as well as to her collectors. If you are seeking original art as investment she was rated as one of the top 10 Best Buys for investment art by The Roanoker magazine in 1990, which still holds today. In 2000, Johnson was invited to participate in the first ever White House Conference on Culture and Diplomacy, has authored numerous articles for art collectors and artists. Johnson is a full member of the Pastel Society of America, Signature Member of the International Society of Acrylic Painters, Plein Air Painters of the South East, Plein Air Painters of Hawaii, and more. By 1998, she was listed in Who's Who in American Art, and Who's Who in the South and Southwest. Johnson's work has been eagerly sought by corporate and private collectors alike on an international scale. Lives with her husband in Virginia with a real heart for the South.
